Activities, Events, Clubs & Committees

There are numerous annual events throughout the year at Spring Creek including community garage sales, pool opening celebrations and a variety of educational and holiday celebrations.

Activities, Events, Clubs & Committees:

Spring Creek Community Club (SCCC)

The Community Club's mission is to make Spring Creek a better place to live and enjoy. Some of the activities include meetings to update and plan volunteer events, social gatherings, educational sessions, community enhancements including flag placement for holidays and Christmas decorations. Community service includes mail post painting, park maintenance and small planting projects, and outreach to Louisa County through the Louisa County Resource Council. Meetings are the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm in the Community Room at the Sports Clubhouse.  All residents are welcome to attend.

Backpack Program

For many children, school meals may be the only meals they eat.  What happens when they go home over the weekend?  Backpack drives help children get the nutritious and easy-to-prepare food they need to get enough to eat on the weekends.

Cardboard Recycling
One way Spring Creek residents donate to the Louisa County Resource Council (LCRC) is by recycling. Cardboard is recycled at the cardboard shed, which is to the right of the Sports Club. The recycled cardboard is picked up by the LCRC; and after they sell it, they use the money to provide clothing, food and other forms of assistance to the needy residents of Louisa County, louisaresource.org

Between July 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021, recycled cardboard generated $2,845.80 to LCRC. Those funds were used for operating expenses required for the LCRC hunger relief work. Recycled cardboard prices are steadily climbing and, thanks to the great work by the Spring Creek community, a greater impact is anticipated in the future. The cardboard shed is maintained by a number of community volunteers.

Graduates of the course will have a better understanding of the operation of the LCSO, and a greater awareness and appreciation of the challenges faced by LCSO deputies each day.
